For more than 115 years, we have resided in Meghalaya. Since traditional beliefs held that brooms cleaned out negativity from our homes, our forefathers started their first business dealing with raw broomsticks. Later, we expanded our business horizons and started dealing with the FMCG industry as well as the fashion and apparel industry. We've always tried to be creative, looking for new ways to support the development of neighbourhood residents and companies.
As Meghalaya is the largest producer of broomstick grasses, we have been in the business of acquiring raw materials for the production of brooms and distributing them throughout the country.
With experience, we have mastered the art and expertise of selecting grasses for making of brooms under the chairmanship of Radheshyam Agarwala(Bhoot).
Now, Mr. Sushil Agarwalla (Bhoot), the company's MD, takes the initiative to manufacture the brooms under the brand name "Ramdeo," using the best quality grasses to make efficient and effective brooms. Ramdeo was born out of our realisation that, despite Meghalaya being the nation's top producer of broomsticks, there is no organised or officially recognised industry that caters to broomsticks. In light of this, we made the decision to move through with the development of "Ramdeo brooms" while incorporating a contemporary flair and the traditional value of "Cleanse negativity out of your houses.”
We then took the initiative to establish Ramdeo as a "brand" that produces the highest-quality broomsticks and export them both domestically and abroad, with the primary goal of promoting North-East India because the best grasses are only found in this region of India.
